ARIZONA SONORA DESERT MUSEUM POST CARDS: Lot of 10 different post cards, average Ex/M, Mid-1960s, size 3.5 x 5.5 inches, color, unused, includes a shot of the entrance (which looks nothing like this today) and various desert dwellers - Gila Monster, Scorpion, Horned Toad, Tortoise, Roadrunner, Elf Owl, Cactus Wren, Gila Woodpecker, plus a "Wildlife Of The Desert" post card with a painting of southwestern animal life (dated 1958). BARBARA BATES: Starlet Arcade Vending Card, NM, Issued circa-late 1950s, size approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches, blank back, "Printed in U.S.A." on bottom front right of card, sepia toned photo of Barbara Bates posing in a two-piece bathing suit. Printed by ESCO (Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago, IL). Barbara was a 1940s and ‘50s actress best known for her roles in "All About Eve," "Cheaper By The Dozen" and "Let’s Make it Legal." Prior to acting, she worked as a cheesecake model posing for magazines like Yank, The Army Weekly and Life. She died in 1969. See card  $7.50

Button is round, 2.25 inches in diameter, issued circa-1969, like new/NM, obtained at Belmont Park in New York. White background with brown quarter horse head in the center, "World's Fastest Animal" at top and "Belmont Park" at the bottom in green lettering. LESLIE BROOKS: Starlet Arcade Vending Card, NM, Issued circa-late 1950s, size approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches, blank back, "Printed in U.S.A." on bottom front right of card, sepia toned cheesecake photo of Leslie Brooks posing in a short skirt. Printed by ESCO (Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago, IL). Leslie was a leading lady in Hollywood low-budgeters of the 1940's and starred in the 1948 film noir classic, "Blonde Ice." She died in 2011. GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK 20 VIEW PRINT PAK: Roughly 3 x 4.25 inch mini post card souvenir from 1969, cards average NM condition, all color. The slipcase sleeve these come is in Ex/M condition, only one minor corner ding. The 20 cards show various shots of the canyon from the rim, also the Kaibab suspension bridge and the Watchtower. Published by Fred Harvey. Included with this is a late 1960s period post card of the canyon after sundown. See slipcase cover  $10

HOTEL ARGONNE LIMA, OHIO POST CARD: VG: some cancellation marks on front, Postmarked June 11, 1924, Lima, Ohio, 1¢ George Washington stamp, size approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches, colorized, shows the hotel with a vintage automobile in front. The Argonne was built in 1919, so it was only 5 years old when this post card was mailed. It still stands and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Has writing and address in ink. Over 90 years old! See card  $6

HOTEL WELLINGTON NEW YORK CITY POST CARD: G+: front stained, Postmarked April 2, 1940, NYC, NY, 1.5¢ Martha Washington stamp with "Buy U.S. Savings Bonds Ask your Postmaster" cancellation, size 3.5 x 5 3/8 inches, colorized, shows the historic hotel which is still in operation! Has writing and address in ink. See card  $3

HOTELS, MOTELS and RESTAURANTS LATE-1960s POST CARDS: Lot of 22 different post cards, average Ex/M condition, one card has top edge staining, all unused, all circa 1967-70, size 3.5 x 5.5 inches. 6 from Arizona, 7 from California, 4 from New Mexico, 1 from Texas, 1 from Utah, 2 from Virginia, 1 from Washington. If any of these buildings are still standing, they are probably no longer carrying the names on these cards. Here's a trip back in time when the big push was "Color TV" and "Heated Pools." Classic cars shown on a lot of them. The three samples shown are the Astro Motel (how space age!) in Barstow, Top's Motel in Anaheim (bikini babes by the pool), and the Aku Aku Motel in Woodland Hills (Polynesian decor with refrigerated air conditioning and hi-fi music provided!). JOHNSTOWN FLOOD MUSEUM POST CARDS: Lot of 3 different post cards, NM, 1980s, size 3.5 x 5.5 inches, B&W, unused, includes a shot of the Johnstown, Pennsylvania Inclined Plane with facts about it, and two 1889 flood disaster photos of the Schultz Home and the Stone Bridge, these last two post cards were originally attached to the Flood Museum's ticket stubs so they have one perforated edge. JURASSIC PARK THE RIDE POST CARD: Universal Studios Hollywood Post Card, 1996, NM condition, oversized, 5 x 7 inches. The front show four sections of the ride including the main gate, a spitter in action, a dinosaur in the water, and the final drop on the water ride. In the center of all this is the Jurassic Park logo and a red border frames the whole card. The back has all the copyright info and the Universal Studios Hollywood logo.  See card  $1.25

KAPOK TREE INN POST CARDS: Lot of 3 different post cards, NM (restaurant) & Ex/M (causeway), Mid-1970s, size approximately 4 x 6 inches, color, unused, deckle edged, out of print, two made by Sun Coast Post Cards, includes shots of the "Exotic" Kapok Tree Inn's Florida Room (CI.4) and the Italian Gardens (CI.3) from the world famous defunct Clearwater, Florida restaurant that closed its doors in 1991. CLEO MOORE: Starlet Arcade Vending Card, NM, Issued Circa-late 1950s, size approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches, blank back, "Printed in U.S.A." on bottom front right of card, sepia toned sexy leg photo of Cleo Moore posing in a low cut dress on a bed. Printed by ESCO (Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago, IL). Cleouna Moore was a 1950s B-movie star who aptly filled the role of buxom blonde. Cleo excelled at "bad girl" and "women’s prison" movie roles. She died in 1973 and has quite a cult following. See card  $8.50

MARY MURPHY: Starlet Arcade Vending Card, NM, Issued Circa-late 1950s, size approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches, blank back, "Printed in U.S.A." on bottom front right of card, sepia toned photo of Mary Murphy ("in Paramount Pictures" tag under her name) posing in a one piece bathing suit. Printed by ESCO (Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago, IL). Mary was a 1950s through ‘70s film character actress best known for her role as the “good girl” in "The Wild One." She did most of her work in the 1960s on TV, including appearing in "The Outer Limits," "Honey West," "I Spy," "Perry Mason," "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," "Laramie," "The Fugitive," and many other shows. Mary died in 2011. See card  $7.50

DONNA REED: Starlet Arcade Vending Card, NM-, Issued Circa-late 1950s, size approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches, blank back, "Printed in U.S.A." on bottom front right of card, sepia toned photo of Donna Reed posing in a sexy lace top night gown. Printed by ESCO (Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago, IL). Donna was a well-known film actress in the 1940s and 1950s, appearing in the classics "It's A Wonderful Life" and "From Here To Eternity." She made her mark in American TV from 1958-66 as the star of "The Donna Reed Show." She was both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award Winner, as well as a multiple Emmy nominee. Donna died in 1986. TRINA ROBBINS: Hits The Mark "business card," Ex/M, size 3.5 x 5.5 inches, slight glossy surface, blank back, color image of a female detective holding a smoking gun with a stereotypical cigarette dangling from her mouth, the drawing is dated 1977 and Trina gave me this in 1982, so the printing date is somewhere between 1977-82, under the image is Trina's address and telephone number. I don't think you will find too many of these rarities offered for sale. See card  $15

SHREK 2 POST CARD SET: Set of 5 Post Cards, NM with two cards at the separation having small back top layer color lifts where the staple was located, 2004, size approximately 4 x 6 inches, Honeymoon by Shrek & Fiona HP Story #792 contains 5 color shots of the lovable ogres on their honeymoon vacation. It was a six card strip promo produced by Hewlett-Packard and the card backs have HP ad tags on them. This version was bound into a technical magazine and was removed by separating two of the cards in the strip, so 4 cards are still accordion connected and the 5th card is separate. Shirley is wearing riding gear and holding a crop behind her back. The back of the card contains a "Dear Friend" note from Shirley with another facsimile signature.
